Asus Padfone X mini for AT&T launching on October 24
The Asus PadFone X mini for AT&T is set to launch on October 24th, and will be the first smartphone in the US to make use of Intel's 4G LTE modem. This phone-tablet combo will be powered by a dual-core Intel Atom processor and will be priced at $199.99 for AT&T GoPhone customers.

Asus VivoTab 8 officially announced with Windows 8.1 and 64-bit processor

The PadFone 2 last received an update in December 2012, when it received Android 4.1 Jelly Bean after being released with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

T-Mobile has announced that Google Nexus device owners on its network will soon be getting access to the Android 4.4.3 software update. Sprint was the first to offer the update a couple of months ago and as you would expect from such an incremental update, you get nothing more than the usual bug fixes and performance improvements.

Docking the phone to the combo allows the option of using Android instead.

Asus PadFone X for AT&T can be pre-ordered on June 6, priced at $199 on contract
The Asus PadFone X will be available for pre-order to AT&T customers starting June 6 and will cost $199.99 with a two-year contract. While the carrier did not specify an exact release date, it is expected to be available sometime next month.
