Asus PadFone 2 receives Android 4.4 KitKat update

The Asus PadFone 2 is now receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat update which should bring several new features and improvements to the phone-tablet combo. The PadFone 2 last received an update in December 2012, when it received Android 4.1 Jelly Bean after being released with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Asus PadFone 2 receives software update

The Asus PadFone 2 is now receiving a software update which brings a few new features, enhancements and improvements to the device. The update follows the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update which was offered to the device back in January.

The new update carries software version 10.4.12.24 and brings some improvements to the station. Meanwhile the Wi-Fi connection ‘s performance and stability has been improved and the camera has improved HDR and brightness control features.

Asus PadFone 2 receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update

The Asus PadFone 2 is now receiving the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update. The roll-out of the update will begin today and it will be made available to devices (OTA) over-the-air. You should receive a notification when the update is available for your device. If you haven't received a notification, you can manually check for the update by heading to Settings.

Asus PadFone 2 to debut on October 16 event

Asus has begun sending out invitations for the unveiling of the Asus PadFone 2, the successor to the Asus PadFone which combines a smartphone, tablet and laptop into one product.

The event is said to take place on October 16 and it will be simultaneously held in Taipei and Milan.
