Apple recently announced their top 10 iOS apps for the year 2012 and now Google has followed suite to announce the best Android apps of the year. Google’s app selection looks to be less dependent on looks and features and more on the apps that are “…Available globally and offer a great user experience on both tablets and phones. From excellent tools to objects of beauty, each of these applications represents the best of Google Play.”

Nokia Lumia 920 Developer Edition, exclusive to developers supports most carriers
Developers who attended Microsoft's BUILD 2012 were presented with an exclusive Nokia Lumia 920 Developer Edition handset. Nokia refers to it as a one of a kind device that “they will never make again” as it features the ability to connect to a number of different carriers around the world.
Just like the regular Nokia Lumia 920 the device will feature the same 4.5 inch HD touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel PureView camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. However it wasn't made available in multiple colors and is only available in Black.

HTC working on a 10 inch tablet with a unique design
A recent leak has revealed that HTC is working on a new 10 inch tablet. The device is expected to be revealed during the IFA conference in Berlin and something special to offer its adopters – A unique form factor.
Several Android manufacturers have been coming under fire from Apple for copying Apple’s so called ‘patented’ designs. HTC has decided make some changes in their design.

Nokia to unveil Nokia Lumia 910 and Lumia 920 on September 5 ?
One of the company’s which has the most to gain from the success of Windows Phone is Nokia. So its no surprise that the mobile manufacturer will be first in line to reveal Windows Phone 8 devices.
A recent report suggests that the finish company will have two Windows Phone 8 devices ready by Nokia World on September 5 – The Nokia Lumia 910 and the Nokia Lumia 920.

Microsoft demonstrates Xbox SmartGlass, allows AirPlay like streaming to iOS, Android and Windows devices
Microsoft demonstrated the previously rumored XBox SmartGlass during the ongoing E3. SmartGlass is a feature will allows you to interact with your Xbox using a second screen of your tablet or smartphone.

Google I/O 2012: Day 01
Today concludes the first day of the Google I/O 2012 which made several rumors official and included a few surprises. For all those who missed the Live Stream, we have put together a summary of todays announcements.
Google Nexus 7 – Hands On videos
Google I/O attendees had the special privilege of being the first to get their hands on the brand new Google Nexus 7 tablet. The Google Nexus 7 features a 7 inch touch display, up to 16GB of internal storage, a single camera for video calls and will be powered by a quad-core processor from NVidia.

In Early April Google revealed a secret project they had been working on titled Project Glass, and we eagerly anticipated getting a closer look at the device.

Following a jaw dropping live demo which involved Skydiving, professional biking and wall crawling Google Co-Founder Sergey Brin introduced the Google Glass Explore Edition. The prototype hardware would be available to only U.S. I/O attendees for pre-order and will cost $1,500. The device is said to ship to interested users in early 2013.

Toshiba Windows RT tablet demonstrated
Microsoft recently revealed their intentions to join their tablet ranks with their own Microsoft Surface. But we didn't get to see Widows RT in action during Microsoft’s tablet Event. However manufacturers have been cooking up their own Windows RT hardware for some time now, and Toshiba was one of the first to demonstrate their upcoming devices during the Computex 2012.
The devices included a tablet and a touchscreen laptop powered by a TI OMAP 4470 chip with a 1.8GHz dual-core A9 processor and the PowerVR SGX544 GFX graphics chip.

[Live Blog] Windows Phone Summit 2012
Microsoft seams to be on a role following their announcement of the Microsoft Surface tablet at the special event which took place a couple of days ago.
Now the folks at Redmond are getting set to reveal another well kept secret – Windows Phone 8 (aka Apollo) and it happens on June 20.

Microsoft unveils Xbox Music, with 30 million tracks at launch
Microsoft’s codenamed Woodstock music service has now been unveiled as Xbox Music. The service will not only be available through the Xbox but also through Windows 8 PCs and Windows Phone devices.
Microsoft did not share too much during the demonstration but stated that the service will debut with 30 million songs and feature the smart DJ service currently available through Zune.

Microsoft has open registrations for the Windows Phone Summit which is scheduled to take place on June 20 in San Francisco.

Nokia World 2012 announced - to start in September and feature a new format
Nokia World 2012 is probably one of the biggest events in Nokia’s calendar year and highlights the latest devices and software the company has been working on over the year. However this year around Nokia plans to do things a little differently by featuring a collection of smaller events which will kick of earlier than usual in September.

Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2012
Apple has officially announced that their Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2012 will be held between June 11 - 15 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
If you had been planning on going, I hope you have already gotten your hands on some tickets as the event has been sold out in just two hours, which is the fastest in the history of the conference, despite its $1,600 price tag.
