Motorola Moto 360 will be released "later this summer"


Google shared some information on its Android Wear platform at this year's Google I/O and unveiled three new smartwatches to accompany it. The LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live are now available for purchase through the Google Play Store. However the beautifully crafted Motorola Moto 360 wont be available until "later this summer".

Samsung Gear LiveAt the I/O 2014, Google unveiled its first wave of Android Wear devices and one of them was surprisingly the Samsung Gear Live. Samsung already has its own lineup of smartwatches powered by the company's own Tizen platform.

LG G Watch officially announced


Google had some new Android Wear accessories to showcase during the Google I/O 2014 and one of them is the LG G Watch. The G Watch will offer useful information at a glance by connecting to a compatible smartphone and let you get stuff done more easily by voice.

While Apple and Microsoft continue to bring unity between their desktop and mobile platforms, we always wondered how Google would eventually handle the differences between Android and Chrome OS. During the Google I/O 2014, Sundar Pichai talked about how the company plans to bring Android and Chromebooks together.

Android Auto officially announced - Allows connecting your Android device to car's dashboard


Google just lifted the veil off of Android Auto - its in-car interface service, which has been developed by the Open Automotive Alliance (made up of Google, Audi AG, General Motors Co., Honda Motor Co., Hyundai Motor Group and NVIDIA Corp.). The concept is pretty similar to Apple's CarPlay service, as it brings Android to your car.

During I/O 2014, Google announced Android TV, which hopes to take over your living room. However the company hasn't quite forgotten one of its most successful releases, the Chromecast. The humbly priced, $35 dongle is about to get some decent features and improvements

Android TV officially announced


One of the announcements at Google I/O 2014 was Android TV, a new platform that will run on streaming boxes or be integrated into smart TV sets. Android TV is rich in functionality, with support for both video and music streaming. It even offers the ability to mirror your Android device, so you can play games on your TV (with multiplayer support). Additionally you will be able control your Android TV with your smartphones or tablets along with a regular D-Pad control with voice.

The Google I/O 2014 conference is kicking off today (June 25) at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. During the event the company is expect to unveil a brand new version of Android which is expected to carry an 'L' dessert name, along with updates on Android Wear, Google TV and more.

Google I/O 2014 officially announced for June 25 and June 26 in San Francisco

Google has officially announced that its I/O developer conference will take place on June 25th and June 26th, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. One thing different will be the registration process. Unlike past years where those seeking tickets had to use the same process reserved for rock shows, Google will ask you to indicate your desire to attend. From that group, random people will be selected to attend the show.

Google is expected to introduce the new registration process next month. Last year, the show took place in May.

Google+ updated, with a new Stream, Hangouts and awesome Photos

Its been two years since Google Plus was launched as a competitor to Facebook and while it may not match Facebook's user base,  it has become a big part of Google's ecosystem.

Today it is getting a huge update with brings a new user interface with 41 new features in three categories: stream, hangouts and photos.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition announced

We may not have seen an update to the Google Nexus 4 at Google I/O 2013, but the company did have something to share at the conference. Google announced the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition, which brings the original Samsung Galaxy S4 hardware with the same software experience offered on Google's Nexus Series. This means you will be receiving the latest versions of Android directly from Google as it is released to the rest of the Nexus devices instead of the TouchWiz UI experience offered by Samsung.
