HP has announced three new Android tablets in time for the holidays. Two of them are 7 inch tablets which entry level prices, while the third one is a low priced competitor to the Apple iPad mini. Its surprising that HP didn't give the trio more attention as they are definitely worth looking at if you have an affordable Android tablet in mind.

First we have the HP Slate7 Plus, which features a 7 inch display and is powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 3. The tablet comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of native storage and is available in silver for $149.99. It has  pre-installed and a 4000mAh battery keeps the device powered.

You get a 7 inch display offering resolution of 1280 x 800, NVIDIA Tegra 4 under the hood here with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage. This  includes a 4100mAh battery, and while it is out of stock right now, it will be available in Slate silver.
