Samsung announces Exynos 5422 Octa and Exynos 5260 Hexa processors, both supporting Quad HD displays

SamsungSamsung announced two new mobile processors at MWC 2014. The Samsung Exynos 5422 Octa and the Samsung Exynos 5260 Hexa. Both support high-resolution displays, including Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) and WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels), making us wonder if a Quad-HD version of the Galaxy S5 may be introduced later this year.

BlackBerry has announced the affordable and the QWERTY bearing in Barcelona during the ongoing MWC. BlackBerry has introduced its latest Mobile Device Management system, BES 12.

The BlackBerry Z3 is the first model to have been produced under the arrangement agreed to by both BlackBerry and Foxconn under the terms of a five year deal signed by both sides. Under the deal, Foxconn will design, produce and warehouse these models that are aimed at emerging markets. BlackBerry will provide the software and profits will be split.

The LG F70 is one of the six Android devices announced by the company at the MWC 2014. Now the company has given us a close look at this new LTE enabled device which “is expected to appeal to millions of new LTE customers around the world.”

Following its presentation on Monday at MWC, Sony revealed more information about its SmartEyeglass concept, which is the Japanese manufacturer's answer to Google Glass. Sony suggests that you will be able to watch a soccer game while wearing the specs, and see the name and stats of certain players. The device will also allow you to instantly see check-in information when you arrive at the airport, with the gate number, and directions on how to get there.

Its already been a busy day at the MWC 2014, with Sony and Nokia making some interesting announcements. However Samsung's potential unveiling of the Galaxy S5 is expected to be the show stealer of the exhibition. Samsung has managed to keep their flagship smartphone a secret for a long time, but someone over at MWC has managed to snap several photos of the Galaxy S5 hours before the announcement is due to take place, and also outed some details of the flagship's new hardware and software features.

HTC has unveiled two "flagship mid-range" Android smartphones at MWC 2014 - The Desire 816 and the Desire 610. The two new HTC phones showcase a simplistic design, which is a clear evolution of the company's HTC One. According to Jeff Grodon, Senior Global Online Communications Manager at HTC, the company will be betting heavily on the Desire 816 which sports more impressive specs than its sibling.
