The first waves which are being delivered over-the-air (OTA) have already started appearing on Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 handsets around the world, with the Lumia 521, Lumia 810 and Lumia 928 in the US also partaking in the latest Windows Phone software.

Nokia Lumia 822 receives a software update

The Nokia Lumia 822 on Verizon is receiving software release which brings software version 1532.5951.1250.1012 along with a few new features and improvements. You will receive a notification when the update is available for your device, at which point you can download and install the update. The full change-log and instructions on installing the update are as follows.

It is recommended that you use Wi-Fi to download and install the update in order to avoid data charges. It is also recommended that your device is fully charged before you initiate the update. If you havent received the notification you can also manually check for the update by heading over to Settings > Phone Update > Check for updates.

The Nokia Lumia 822 for Verizon is now available in Red for FREE if you sign a two-year contract with the carrier. As you may know the Lumia 822 is a Verizon exclusive featuring a 4.3 inch touch display, an 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, 8GB of storage which can be expanded through microSD, a secondary camera for video calls, Qi-based wireless charging, a 1800 mAh battery and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

Lumia Windows Phones also feature exclusive Nokia apps including Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive+, Nokia City Lens and Nokia Music.

Considering that the regular version costs $49.99 on the same contract, this is a great opportunity to get the device for free in the carrier’s colors.

Nokia Lumia 822 for Verizon is now available for FREE on contract


The Nokia Lumia 822 is now being offered for free for customers who sign a two-year contract with Verizon. The Lumia 822 is a Windows Phone 8 handset which features a 4.3 inch touch display, an 8 megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, 8GB of storage which can be expanded through microSD, a secondary camera for video calls, Qi-compatible wireless charging, 4G LTE connectivity  NFC, a 1800 mAh battery and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

The Lumia 822 is very similar to the Nokia Lumia 820 on AT&T and the Nokia Lumia 810 on T-Mobile but comes only in black and doesn't feature the dynamic color choice which the Lumia lineup is known to have.

The Nokia Lumia 822 is a Windows Phone 8 device which features a 4.3 inch touch display, an 8 megapixel camera, 8GB of storage which can be expanded through microSD, a secondary camera for video calls, and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

The Lumia 822 is a mid-range smartphone but features a better than average camera and impressive battery life even while connected to the 4G LTE network. Not everyone would be impressed with the somewhat bulky design or the low resolution when compared to some of the other modern handsets.

The device is currently available in the U.S. exclusively through Verizon for FREE with a two-year contract.

Nokia releases an update for its Super Sensitive touchscreen on the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820



One of the biggest advantages of the new Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia Lumia 820 is its Super Sensitive touchscreen which allows you to interact with the display even if you are wearing gloves. Nokia has now released a minor system update Display + Touch version 1.1.2.4 for its Lumia  Windows Phone 8 smartphones which is said to improve the performance of the touch sensitivity of the displays.

The Nokia Lumia 822 features a 4.3 inch ClearBlack AMOLED touch display, an 8 megapixel camera, 8GB of storage which can be expanded through microSD, a secondary camera for video calls, and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

As part of the first lineup of Windows Phone devices, the Lumia 822 offers a fresh experience in a world crowded by iPhones and Android. It may not offer the widest selection of apps but has a healthy selection which most should find adequate.

The device is available in the U.S. through Verizon and costs $100 with a two-year contract, which is a reasonable asking price considering the design and feel of this device.

Nokia released three mid-range smartphones on three of the major carriers in the U.S. alongside their flagship the Nokia Lumia 920. The Nokia Lumia 820 which is available through AT&T, the Nokia Lumia 810 on T-Mobile and the Nokia Lumia 822 on Verizon. Nokia Lumia 822 and HTC 8X for Verizon now available on pre-order, shipping stars November 13


AT&T may be the first to offer Windows Phone 8 devices with the launch the highly anticipated Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 820 and the HTC 8X starting tomorrow. But Verizon is ready with their own lineup and will start taking pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 822 and HTC Windows Phone 8X starting November 9, at 1.00 AM eastern time.

Verizon has officially announced the Nokia Lumia 822 and it joins Verizon’s fall lineup of Windows Phones. The Lumia 822 adds a mid-range Windows Phone 8 offering alongside Verizon’s high-end HTC Windows Phone 8X.

A photo of the Nokia Lumia 822 and the HTC Windows Phone 8X with Verizon branding have been recently revealed, validating the reports that these devices were headed to the nation’s largest carrier. Both devices are reported to be headed to Verizon on November 8th with the Lumia 822 costing $99.99 while the HTC 8X is priced at $199.99 with two year contracts.

Nokia Lumia 822 revealed, heading to Verizon

Verizon users have not been forgotten by Windows Phone, as the Nokia Lumia 822 is rumored to be making its way to the the network. The Lumia 822 looks to be a modified version of the Nokia Lumia 820, featuring heavily rounded corners and edges and running Windows Phone 8 build 9900.

The device which was previously codenamed Atlas, features a 4.3 inch display, an 8MP camera with dual LED flash and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Like all modern handsets in Verizon the Lumia 822 will feature the carriers 4G LTE connectivity.
