Sony says no Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Xperia Arc S and Xperia mini pro


Sony Ericsson was very generous with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for their 2011 Xperia lineup of handsets, but everyone is now eager to find out if they will be the same with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Sadly it turns out it wont be good news for two of those handsets.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini receives Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update


Last month we reported that the was receiving the Android ICS update and now the is getting its taste of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The update however will not be offered OTA (Over the Air). Users will have to head over to Sony’s website and see if their device SI (Sales Item) number matches that of the list of devices which are now receiving the update.

Sony releases Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update


Sony announced that they will start rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) upgrade for their 2011 lineup of Xperia smartphones starting today.

The , , owners in Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Norway will be the first in line for the update which will rollout to other global markets in the next 4 - 6 weeks.

Sony Ericsson Xperia owners to get 50GB of free cloud storage

With iOS 5 Apple users got 5 GB of free cloud storage through iCloud and Windows Phone users get access to 25GB of free cloud storage on SkyDrive. While Android is build with cloud integration they don't have a large amount of cloud storage space.
