Sony releases Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update
Sony announced that they will start rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) upgrade for their 2011 lineup of Xperia smartphones starting today.
The Xperia Arc S, Xperia Neo V, Xperia Ray owners in Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Norway will be the first in line for the update which will rollout to other global markets in the next 4 - 6 weeks.
Older Xperia handsets will not be receiving the ICS update over the air and will have to connect your device to your computer through the Sony PC Suite software in order to receive the update. You can head over to http://www.sonymobile.com/update for instruction on how to upgrade your device.
If you own an Xperia Arc, Xperia Play, Xperia Neo, Xperia Mini, Xperia Mini Pro, Xperia Active or the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman you will have to wait until the end of May or early June for Android ICS to arrive on your device.
