Pantech, South Korea’s third largest smartphone maker (behind Samsung and LG), has announced its latest flagship handset: the Vega Iron 2. The new handset comes with a powerful quad-core Snapdragon 801 CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, so it’s on par with other flagships in the market today.

Pantech Flex for AT&T receives Android 4.1.2 software update

The Pantech Flex for AT&T is now receiving the Android 4.1.2 software update. This means the device will get access to all the features of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean including the performance enhancement from Project Butter, the Google Now digital assistant and actionable notifications. Additionally users will also receive AT&T Drive mode which is an app which helps prevent texting when driving. The update will also allow automatically resizing your widgets, which may not fit the homescreen previously.

Pantech Element receives Android 4.0 ICS software update

The Pantech Element for AT&T is now receiving the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software update. In order to update the device you will have to download and install the updater application to perform a manual update. Users are warned that the update will remove all user data and they should backup any personal data before proceeding with the update.

You can also use the AT&T Locker to store, sync and share your content.
