Nokia Lumia 1520 beats Samsung Galaxy S5 in gaming benchmark test
One of the great things about Windows Phones is that it offers a smooth experience across all of its devices. So you can expect the higher end handsets like the Nokia Lumia 1520 to offer a stellar performance. The folks at Rightware have put some of the top mobile devices in a series of gaming benchmarks tests and it turns out the Lumia 1520 has come out on top.
What's interesting here is that the Lumia 1520 has even managed to best the yet-to-be-released Samsung Galaxy S5. The new Samsung flagship comes with a newer Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, but the same Adreno 330 GPU. Still, those that were expecting a breakthrough with Samsung's new flagship will be surprised. Rounding out the top five behind these two are the Asus PadFone Infinity 2, Pantech Vega Secret Note and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.
All the devices arguably finished within inches of each other on the gaming centric Basemark X benchmark, making any of them a fine choice. When you look at the overall, Basemark OSII category, the Lumia 1520 finished in the top five (fifth), but still ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S5.
