

How far has the Nokia Lumia 1020 progressed from the Nokia N8 - One of the best cameraphones released by Nokia to date? Find out in the following camera and photo comparison between the two handsets


The Nokia N8 features a 3.5 inch touch display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a Xenon Flash for low light photos, 720p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a 680MHz processor with 256MB of RAM. The N8 is available in gray, blue, silver, green and orange and is encased in an ultra strong anodized aluminum casing.

It wasn’t to long ago that Nokia first started rolling out the Belle Refresh update to the first generation of Symbian^3 devices, which include the Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7, Nokia Oro and the Nokia 500. As you can image the company will have several devices to cover and the first wave of updates have now been completed. Nokia is now reported to have started the second wave of the Belle Refresh update which carries the name ‘Improved Software’ and the 111.040.1511 version number .
Nokia has released the Nokia Belle Refresh software update to their first generation of Symbian^3 devices. The Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7, Nokia Oro and the Nokia 500 which will receive the software version 111.040.1511, while the Nokia E6 software version will be 111.140.0058.
Nokia has confirmed that the Nokia Belle Refresh update will start rolling out for the Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro. The software version on these devices will be updated to version 111.040.1511
A new firmware update (111.40.805) has appeared on Navifirm for the Nokia N8. While we aren't certain on what new features are available in the new firmware, it appears to be the much awaited Belle Refresh update for the Nokia N8.
We know that the first generation Symbian^3 devices will not be receiving the Nokia Belle FP1 or newer updates. However Nokia promised to continue offering More fixes and changes to these handsets.



The Symbian Belle update for the Nokia N8 is now available on Navifirm. Nokia previously aimed at releasing this update by the end of this year but have since announced that the Symbian Belle update will only be available in 2012.
The Nokia N8 may still arguably have the best camera on a smartphone but is looked past because of the Symbian OS under it's hood. Nokia is however not ready to give up on their flagship camera and has been working hard to release updates on their Symbian platform to favor the device.
The Nokia N8 is a smartphone designed and manufactured by Nokia which runs the Symbian^3 mobile operating system. It features a 12MP camera with Xenon flash which is capable of capturing video at 720p HD. The device has 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded with microSD by an additional 32GB.

Symbian Anna is an upcoming update for all Symbian^3 devices including the Nokia N8. The N8 is a smartphone rich in features, with its 12MP camera with Xenon flash, 720p HD video, 16GB/32GB storage and manu more.
Symbian Belle is the next iteration to the Symbian mobile operating system and set to follow Symbian Anna. Since Symbian Anna has still not been released publicly the Belle update may feel far from being released. But it turns out that a working version of the OS has already leaked out.
