Apple releases iOS 7.1.1 software update for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Apple iOS 7.0.6 released for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch


Apple has released the iOS 7.0.6 software update which is being pushed OTA (over-the-air) and through iTunes to compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. According to the changelog this is a security update which provides a fix for SSL connection verification.

Path for iOS
Path for iOS has been updated to version 3.4 with a new interface inspired by iOS 7 among other improvements and enhancements. The interface now utilizes iOS 7's swiping gestures, which lets users quickly swipe from any messaging thread to the homescreen. Furthermore, the Settings menu has been simplified and reorganized into Account, Notifications, and Sharing sections.

Untethered jailbreak available for iOS 7

An untethered jailbreak for iOS 7 has now been made available from evad3rs. The solution is a hack called evasi0n7 which will work on any Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, Apple iPad mini and Apple iPod touch running  through iOS 7.0.4. This is good news for those with jailbroken iDevices that have been unable to update to iOS 7 for fear of losing their jailbreak.

[iOS app] Bing updated (4.2) with iOS 7 style UI and more

Microsoft's Bing for iOS has been updated to version 4.2 with a few new features and improvements including an iOS 7 styled flattened interface. The update also shows off the company's new yellow flavored Bing branding and styling. Bing is an alternative search engine to Google which lets you find whatever you are looking for.

Apple to release iOS 7.0.3 to fix iMessage bug fix

We recently reported that a number of iPhone owners have been facing issues with their iMessage application after updating to iOS 7. The issue affected the sending and receiving of messaging through the app with some messages arriving hours after they were being sent.

Apple is said to be aware of the issue and says that it only affects about 10% of the iMessage users. In any case the company promised that the fix is on its way and would likely come in the form of the iOS 7.0.3 update.

Some Apple iPhone owners face iMessage issues after iOS 7 update

Users in the Apple Support Communities have been complaining about issues since the  update, including problems with the iMessage applications. Some users have found that their messages are not being sent or received. The issue doesn't seem to be with Apple's servers as these messages are sent as text messages when the user cannot be reached.

Apple iOS 7.0.1 for iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c now available for download

Apple has released the iOS 7.0.1 update for the Apple iPhone 5s and the Apple iPhone 5c which aim to fix two bugs in the Apple  update which was released yesterday. Both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c will be available for purchase tomorrow and those who pre-ordered their handsets will also be receiving their new devices. The new iPhones will be running iOS 7.0 out of the box but as soon as users will activate their devices, iOS 7.0.1 will become available as an over-the-air incremental update.
