Earlier today, iOS security researcher, i0n1c tweeted out a photo which showed the iPhone 5c jailbroken on iOS 7.1.1 and running Cydia version 1.1.9. The tweet stated that the jailbreak was based on a kernel bug. Winocm followed it up with a video demoing iOS 7.1.1 untethered jailbreak on a GSM iPhone 4, and stating that jailbreaking other devices would also be possible with some effort.

Apple releases iOS 7.1.1 software update for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
Apple has released the iOS 7.1.1 software update for compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. The update is a minor update with bug fixes following the iOS 7.1 release in March and is being made available OTA (over-the-air) and through iTunes. The change log of the iOS 7.1.1 update follows

Apple iOS 7.1 brings speed improvements to iPhone 4
Apple recently released iOS 7.1 which brings some big improvements to Siri and iTunes Radio while also introducing CarPlay – the company’s in-car flavor of iOS. But for some iOS 7 users, especially those using the Apple iPhone 4, the update brought forth some significant speed improvements and snappiness which was lost following the iOS 7.0 release back in September.

Apple iOS 7.1 beta 5 released to developers
Apple's iOS 7.1 beta 5 is now available to developers registered in Apple's iOS developer program. This follows the fourth beta of iOS 7.1 was released a little over two weeks ago. Apple iOS 7.1 beta released to developers
Apple has released the first beta of iOS 7.1 to developers registers in the iOS Development Program. This release follows iOS 7.0.4, which was released a few days ago with a fix for the FaceTime bug. Hopefully the iOS 7.1 release will eradicate most if not all remaining bugs on the platform.
