Sprint, during an event which took place in New York, unveiled the Sharp Aquos Crystal. A handset which would be exclusively available in the U.S. through Sprint, as well as Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. What's unique about the Aquos Crystal is that it has no no side and top bezels, which gives it a very compact size despite its generous 5 inch display.

Sharp Mebius Pad announced - Windows 8 tablet with waterproof body and 10 inch high res IGZO display
Today Sharp announced the world's first waterproof Windows 8 tablet at the CEATEC expo in Japan - the Sharp Mebius Pad. The tablet features the company's own 10 inch IGZO panel with a 2560 by 1600 pixel resolution, which totals to a 300 ppi pixel density. Thats the same record pixel density offered by the Google Nexus 10.

Sharp introduces thin and efficient IGZO displays
Sharp has introduced a new type of LCD and OLED screen technology called IGZO (iridium, gallium, zinc oxide) which promises to be thinner, with higher resolutions, smaller bezels and better efficiency due to more transparent pixels. IGZO does that by introducing crystallinity to the amorphous silicon typically used for production
Back in April Sharp announced that its factory in Kameyama, Japan is finally turning out IGZO LED panels. The displays are being made for mostly smartphones and tablets but its possible that other sizes are also being produced.

12MP thin camera sensor revealed by Sharp
Sharp has revealed a very sleek 12MP camera sensor which is just 5.7mm (0.22-inch) thin. This is very promising for smartphones which can now take one step higher in camera specs without compromising width. The sensor even comes with optical image stabilization which will further improve the quality of your photos.
Manufacturers have been working on image stabilization through software, but having a hardware solution is much better.
