The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE have been discounted. The Wi-Fi model now costs $269 with a $30 savings while the 4G LTE model costs $449 which is $50 lesser than the regular price. The discount will remain affective until this Friday, February 8th, so be sure to get your hands on deal while it lasts.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 features a 8.9 inch touch display with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, 32GB of internal storage, a 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The only difference between the two models other than their price is the LTE radio.

The only tradeoff is that you will have to be satisfied with Amazon’s ecosystem as you wont have access to the content on the Google Play Store or the Google apps.

If you are not into the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 you can consider spending the extra for the latest iPad or the Google Nexus 10, but if you are an Amazon Prime user the Kindle Fire HD may be the right tablet for you.
