Today Amazon unveiled two brand new members in their Kindle tablet family alongside a refreshed Kindle Fire HD. While the Kindle Fire HD (2013) continues affordable Amazon's trend now at a lower $139 price, the Kindle Fire HDX and the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 tablets enter the market as power players aiming to dominate the ecosystem.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 features a 8.9 inch touch display with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, 32GB of internal storage, a 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The only difference between the two models other than their price is the LTE radio.

The only tradeoff is that you will have to be satisfied with Amazon’s ecosystem as you wont have access to the content on the Google Play Store or the Google apps.
If you are not into the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 you can consider spending the extra for the latest iPad or the Google Nexus 10, but if you are an Amazon Prime user the Kindle Fire HD may be the right tablet for you.

Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 is now available for purchase, LTE version coming next week

The Amazon Kindle Fire HD with an 8.9 inch display was announced nearly two months ago, and it is now available for $299 through Amazon. The device features a 8.9 inch full HD LCD touch display with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, 32GB of internal storage, a camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
Amazon will also have the Kindle Fire HD with LTE, which will start shipping next week on November 20th. The LTE version will cost considerably more at $499 which is still cheaper than the Apple iPad 4 with LTE which costs $629

The 7 inch Amazon Kindle Fire HD has just been made available for shipping to customers, and it seams like it already has a software update. The minor update claims to optimize the performance and functionality of the new device, which could mean Amazon is being extremely diligent with software updates or they had a major bug which needed immediate eradication.
