Google I/O 2014 officially announced for June 25 and June 26 in San Francisco

Google has officially announced that its I/O developer conference will take place on June 25th and June 26th, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. One thing different will be the registration process. Unlike past years where those seeking tickets had to use the same process reserved for rock shows, Google will ask you to indicate your desire to attend. From that group, random people will be selected to attend the show.

Google is expected to introduce the new registration process next month. Last year, the show took place in May.

Google will also update their Google I/O for Android app a few weeks prior to the show. The app will help attendees get from place to place without getting lost, and allows those who can't attend, view live streaming video of presentations made inside the rooms. For those who will actually be attending, last year's update allowed your device to scan the badges of other attendees using NFC, thus allowing you to network on the go.
