[Android app] Google Search updated, brings improved voice search, new cards and reminders to Google Now

The Google Search for Android app has been updated and brings all the improvements and enhancements discussed at today's Google I/O keynote presentation. The enhancements to Google Search will be most evident through Google Now which will offer improved voice search, new cards and reminders

You can download the update directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the link which follows:

The voice search on Google Now will be improved with the update allowing users to ask a wider range of questions. The update also makes it easier to get your own data. For example, instead of using the keyword search "My flights" you can ask,  "What time is my flight to San Francisco?" to check your upcoming flight info. You can even ask "Show me my photos from last year's trip to New York" and Google Now will find the images from the right place.

There will be a new navigation card which focusses on public transport for those who rely on it. There will cards that give you more information on music, books, TV shows and video games. However we don't know what kind of information these cards will display.

The biggest addition to the update is reminders which allows you to set a reminder on your device from Google Now. Previously you would have to either set an alarm or create a calender event for reminders, but you can now take care of that directly from within Google. You can set reminders to be triggered at a specific time or location and it will pop up a notification and as a Google Now card.
