The Google Play Books for Android app has been updated and brings new features and improvements including a new user interface which we first saw in the latest version of the Google Play Store and today on the newly released version of Google Music.
You can download the update directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the link which follows:
The new user interface offers a clean and simple form of navigating through the application. While the Music app has an orange accent the Google Play Books app makes use of a blue accent through its UI. Just like Music, the Books app now has the navigation tray that will pop-up if you tap the icon in the top left. And, the update also adds a confirmation dialog so you don't accidentally remove a downloaded book from your device.
The best feature of this update is the ability to upload your EPUB or PDF files to the Play Books website and read them on any of your other devices. You can upload books from your device or import any books you have stored in your Google Drive. You can store as many as 1000 books while each needs to be below 50MB.
