Apple schedules October 22 event, likely iPad unveiling

Apple has scheduled a special media event in San Francisco for October 22nd, where the company is expected to unveil their newest iPad and iPad mini. The event will be centered around the fifth generation iPad, which is expected to feature a thinner and lighter frame inspired by the Apple iPad mini. The new iPad is also expected to have a thinner bezel and to be fitted with the Apple A7 64-bit processor. The iPad mini is also expected to have updated hardware and a retina display.

[GUIDE] How to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 (untethered) using Evasi0n 1.4

As you may know Apple recently released iOS 6.1.2 to fix several bugs which was plaguing the platform. Fortunately the jailbreak exploit wasn't patched in this release. However the Evad3rs jailbreak team have released a new version of their Evasi0n (1.4) which has full support for iOS 6.1.2 and allows you to continue to jailbreak your device untethered.

All devices which run iOS 6.0 through iOS 6.1.2 are support including the Apple iPhone 5. The only device which isnt supports is Apple TV 3, which cannot be jailbroken yet.

Apple iOS 6.1.2 released for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, download links available


Apple released iOS 6.1 back on January 28th, but the update faced several issues including a lock screen exploit and numerous connectivity problems affecting Microsoft Exchange users. Apple first responded by releasing iOS 6.1.1 for the Apple iPhone 4S, aimed at fixing critical connectivity issues which stopped business users from upgrading iOS.

Today Apple has released iOS 6.1.2 as expected which is expected to fix all the other problems with the iOS 6.1 update.

Apple iOS 6.1 released for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, download links available

Apple has been intensely testing iOS 6.1 over the past few months. This interim update for has now been released and is available to download OTA (over-the-air) for supported iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices.

The update doesn’t bring any major features and focuses on improving the existing software for both users and developers and eradicating bugs.. Until now the update has only been available to those who have signed up for Apple’s $99 per year developer program.

T-Mobile and Apple have reached an agreement to sell Apple products in the U.S.

T-Mobile USA has entered into an agreement with Apple, to sell Apple products like the iPhone and iPad in their U.S. stores by 2013. Apple has also confirmed the announcement, but there were no further details regarding device availability or if they will be able to access HSPA+ speeds.

Up until now T-Mobile users have not had accessed to subsidized Apple products and have had to rely on unlocked devices which are generally quite expensive. Even then since Apple doesn’t support the T-Mobile 3G speeds, devices are limited to slow 2G data speeds.

The announcement was made by Deutsche Telekom Chairman Rene Obermann, who had the following to say:

Apple has discounted the Apple iPad 2 in favor of the new iPad and now it seams like they are offering an even bigger discount on the original iPad.

The tablets which are available are through the Apple refurbished store and an additional $100 has been discounted from the previous selling price bringing the original 16GB iPad down to as low as $299.

While $299 is still more expensive than the Amazon Kindle Fire which at just $199 offers a dual-core processor and more memory.

[iOS app] Microsoft OneNote for iPad

Microsoft OneNote for iOS has been updated to version 1.3, and alongside the update the company has also released Microsoft OneNote for iPad. Microsoft’s OneNote allows users to take and edit notes on the iOS device of their choice, and have any changed synced back to the desktop or even other platforms.
