Apple announces Black Friday 2013 sales event

If you live in the US, you will likely know it is Black Friday week, and several major retailers have already started running their deals and special offers on their catalogue. With Christmas right around the corner, these sales also give us a chance to take care of our holiday shopping and fulfill some of the items on our wish list. If you are planning to get any Apple products, you will be happy to know that the company has just announced the details of their Black Friday deals.

Not surprisingly Apple's iPhone has not made the list of discounted items. But if you are in the market for an iPad, iPod Touch or a MacBook, you are in luck. The the deals available on the Apple Online Store as well as those iconic Apple Retail Stores, you'll be able to grab the product you want at your own convenience.

Ordering online is perhaps the best bet, since the Apple Retail Stores will likely be busier than usual this coming Friday, but if you don't want to have to wait until the item ships to enjoy your shiny new Apple product, it may well be worth taking the trip to your local outlet.

The prices, which have yet to be revealed by Apple, will run from midnight on Thursday until midnight Friday, so if you want to take advantage of these as-yet undisclosed savings, then be sure to secure a little free-time this Friday.

We are sure that Apple will share more details in the coming days, and if you stay tuned to this website, we will be sure to update you with the details. However we do suggest you keep an eye on the offers from Best Buy and Target who may give you better prices than Apple's deals.

[UPDATE]

Apple’s Black Friday sale is now live, but instead of offering a direct discount on the price of its iPads, MacBooks, iPods and more, as it has in the past, Apple is simply including gift cards with the purchase of various products. It’s a similar strategy to what Target, Best Buy, Walmart and other retailers are doing this holiday season, all of which are also offering gift cards in some instances, instead of a direct discount.

Apple’s iPad Air is available starting for $499, but comes with a $75 gift card. Additionally, Apple is selling the iPad mini for $299 with a $50 gift card, the iPad 2 for $399 with a $50 gift card, the iMac, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air with $150 gift cards, the iPod touch and iPod nano with $50 and $25 gift cards, respectively, and the Apple TV with a $25 gift card.

Apple’s deal extends to accessories, too; the company is selling various third-party products with Apple Store gift cards. Check out the source link below for the entire list of deals. Remember: Apple’s sale is one day only.
