[Guide] How to Jailbreak iOS 6.0.1 on pre-A5 devices using Redsn0w
Today Apple released iOS 6.0.1 which brings several minor features, improvements and bug fixes to the platform. With each update the users relying on the jailbreaking their device turn to the iPhone Dev-Team hoping for a solution. Luckily the latest version of Redsn0w is capable of jailbreaking iOS 6.0.1.
However the jailbrake is limited to devices running an Apple A4 processor and lower, which means it wont work on the Apple iPhone 5, new iPad or iPod Touch. In addition this is a tethered jailbreak, which means you will have to connect your device to a PC and Mac to restore your jailbreak every time you switch off or reboot your device.
We suggest waiting for an untethered jailbreak if you want to update. But you if want to try out the latest iOS software you can proceed with our step-by step guide on how to jailbreak your device on iOS 6.0.1 using RedSn0w below.
