Google Nexus 5 vs. Motorola Moto X - Video Comparison

Even though the world impatiently waited for an affordable Motorola Moto X, the company decides to price it at $200 on contract similar to other high-end smartphones in the market. While you do have the ability to customize your US assembled Moto X and have some unique software features available to its users, we wonder how it will compare against a device with pure power like the Google Nexus 5.

As you may know, the Nexus 5 is sold unlocked, and costs $349 outright. While the Moto X is priced at $530 if you want to get the handset contract free. The Nexus 5 is not only cheaper, but it also offers better hardware and the latest software experience with Android 4.4 KitKat.

[UPDATE] The Moto Maker customization experience was released across all four major carriers in the U.S. starting today. The Motorola Moto X is now priced at $99 on contract and costs a more reasonable $499 contract free.

At the end of the day the decision will simply stand with the kind of user you are. If you are looking for a device which you can customize to suite your personality and offers certain software conveniences like touchless control and active display, the Moto X is the phone for you. On the other hand if you are looking for one of the most powerful smartphones in the market combined with an amazing camera, the latest version of Android and nearly unbeatable price look no further than the Nexus 5 from Google.
