Upload to SkyDrive (beta) arrives for Nokia 5800, 5530, 5230, 5233



Recently the option to ‘Upload to SkyDrive’ was released for Nokia Belle devices as a software update. Now the ‘Upload to SkyDrive’ beta app has been released for the Nokia 5800, Nokia 5530, Nokia 5230 and the Nokia 5233 through the Nokia BetaLabs. The app will allow users to copy photos and contacts from the device to Microsoft Live cloud service SkyDrive, where they can be easily accessed with mobile or desktop devices.

[NOTE] This application can only be installed on the following products/ software releases listed below:
  • Nokia 5800 (SW 60.0.003)
  • Nokia 5530 (SW 40.0.003)
  • Nokia 5230 (SW 50.0.002 or newer)
  • Nokia 5233 (SW 51.1.002)
You can check your SW version by typing *#0000# in phone dialer.

There are known issues with older Nokia 5800/5530 SW release versions, which cause the signing-in to SkyDrive service not to work.

Upload to SkyDrive keeps your images and contacts safe in the cloud. You can copy your photos and contacts from your device to Microsoft Live cloud service. You can upload photos at full resolution or downscale them before uploading.When application is installed and you are logged in you can choose which content to upload to the cloud service. Upload to Skydrive uses Wi-Fi if available or mobile data for uploading. Please note your personal data costs when enabling mobile data.
