Upload to SkyDrive (beta) arrives for Nokia 5800, 5530, 5230, 5233


Recently the option to ‘Upload to SkyDrive’ was released for Nokia Belle devices as a software update. Now the ‘Upload to SkyDrive’ beta app has been released for the Nokia 5800, Nokia 5530, Nokia 5230 and the Nokia 5233 through the Nokia BetaLabs. The app will allow users to copy photos and contacts from the device to Microsoft Live cloud service SkyDrive, where they can be easily accessed with mobile or desktop devices.

Nokia to update (S60 v5) Symbian^1

Users of older Nokia Symbian devices like the Nokia 5800 and Nokia N97 are up for a surprise as Nokia has confirmed that S60v5 devices are going to receive a UI update in 2012.

This news comes from an event held in Bello Horizonte,  where Vinicius Costa Product Manager of Nokia Brazil talked about the evolution of the Symbian OS - Anna, Belle and future updates after Belle. While the name of the update following Belle wasn't revealed the 'under construction' icon showed that Nokia is working on it.

[Guide] How to hack Symbian S60v3, S60v5 and Anna devices

The following guide will show you how to hack your Symbian S60v3, Symbian S60v5 and Symbian Anna devices using the system read/write access of an antivirus app on your device. The method will require coping three .ldd (ROM Patcher) files inside the C:/sys/bin folder.

ROMPatcher is able to hack the device only if these files are present in the system folder. Nokia N97 mini - Review

The N97 mini is a smartphone designed and manufactured by Nokia and runs Symbian^1 mobile operating system. It is the younger sibling of the Nokia N97 and feels like a successor to the current Nokia flagship device.The N97 mini has corrected all the mistakes on the N97 by offering a better overall performance, reducing the bulky size, improving the keyboard design and removing the faulty lens conver which scratches the lens on the N97.However the N97 mini sacrifices the 32GB memory on the original for 8GB and offers a smaller display.

Nokia N7 receives (30.0.016) software update

The Nokia N97 has recently received a firmware update, namely version 30.0.016. The version seems to be available for Spain, Brazil and Norway and more countries will be added by Nokia soon. You can download this update via Nokia Software updater (NSU) or Over The Air (OTA).
