Acer CloudMobile - Video Review

CloudMobile-by-AcerAcer may not be a name you regularly associate with Android, but the Acer CloudMobile deserves a mention. It features a 4.3 inch touch display, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel camera, a 1.5GHz dual core processor and is competitively priced at $460.

The CloudMobile features Acer’s cloud service, which is probably not the best cloud service in the market but offers the basic features you would expect from a similar service.

Acer is known for offering their products at great value for money. The Acer Iconia Tab A700 is a great example of this, offering a 1920 x 1200 screen and 32GB of storage for just $399. It looks like they will continue offering the same great value with Windows 8 slates, as they have priced their upcoming Acer Iconia W510 at just $500.

Acer Iconia Tab A700 is now receiving Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 is an impressive device, with a 10.1 inch display which packs a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and a 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor. But its going to start looking much better as the  Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update has just started rolling out for the device.

The update has begun its roll-out it Germany and we aren't quite certain if the International update will begin immediately or if Acer is testing the update first. We hopefully wont have to wait too long before Jelly Bean starts reaching all A700 tablets.

Acer Iconia tablets getting Android ICS on April 25th

If you own an Acer Iconia tablet, it’s time to get ready for some Ice Cream Sandwich. Acer has announced that the and will be receiving Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS).

The rollout will start on April 25th and should arrive for U.S. tablets on April 27th according to the report.

Acer has announced that their Acer Iconia Tab A200 will be receiving Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the coming weeks. The A200 which currently runs Android Honeycomb features a 10.1 inch display, 2MP camera and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor.

Acer Iconia Tab A500 receives software update

The Acer Iconia Tab A500 will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich early next year, but meanwhile Acer has released two software updates to the tablet.

The first release is 7.014.01 which will be followed by the 7.014.02 update. The updates which are 10MB in size, brings general speed improvements to the UI and an updated Android Market (3.4.4).

Acer Iconia Tab A200 - Officially Announced

Until now information on the Acer Iconia Tab A200 has been quite sparce. But Acer has now made it official statement that the device would be coming soon. The tablet is said to ship in November to some markets and will run Android HoneyComb, but devices shipped in January 2012 will have Android Ice Cream Sandwich in board.

GameStop tablets are here

GameStop previously announced that they will be introducing customized tablets to their gaming console lineup and they would be testing it in 200 stores. These tablets are now available on the GameStop website.

You have three tablets to choose from and they are the Acer Iconia A100, Asus Eee Pad Transformer and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Acer A-Series tablets getting Android (4.0) ICS in January 2012

All Android end users want to know if they are eligible for the latest Android update and the same goes for the latest in the Android's treat arsenal - Ice Cream Sandwhich (ICS).

Users of the Acer ICONIA Tabs A100/A101/A500/A501 may be in for some early luck with a leaked report from Acer Poland, pointing towards ICS heading towards Acer's A-Series of ICONIA tablets in mid January 2012.

Acer ICONIA TAB A100 coming in September


Acer's ICONIA TAB A500 may not be the only tablet Acer has to offer for long, The ICONIA TAB A100 with a smaller frame and a 7 inch display is said to launch some time in September according to Acer Germany. Other than the 7 inch display size compared to the 10 inch display on the A500, the A100 shares the NVidia Tegra 2 processor but will have 512MB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

Acer device with 480 by 1024 pixel resolution revealed

Acer has announced a new tablet which will run Google's Android OS. This device features a 4.8 inch screen and has a resolution of 480 by 1024 pixels.This metal encased device is powered by a 1GHz processor. The device has an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash capable of HD video at 720p and a front facing camera at 2 megapixels. The list of features include Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA.

The device also features a n HDMI port and a 6 axis gyroscope accelerometer combo.
