Acer Iconia Tab A700 is now receiving Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 is an impressive device, with a 10.1 inch display which packs a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and a 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor. But its going to start looking much better as the  Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update has just started rolling out for the device.

The update has begun its roll-out it Germany and we aren't quite certain if the International update will begin immediately or if Acer is testing the update first. We hopefully wont have to wait too long before Jelly Bean starts reaching all A700 tablets.

The update is 332MB in size and will be offered OTA (Over-the-Air). We recommend connecting your tablet to your Wi-Fi connection once your receive the update notification.

The Jelly Bean update for the A700 brings some new apps and widgets along with improved touch sensitivity. With the enhancements of Android 4.1 users are also reporting smoother performance in app launching and exiting.

If you have already received the Android 4.1 update for the Acer Iconia Tab A700, please share your experience in the comments section below.
