It looks like they will continue offering the same great value with Windows 8 slates, as they have priced their upcoming Acer Iconia W510 at just $500.The Iconia W510 which runs Windows 8 features a 10 inch HD touch display, 32GB of internal storage and is powered by in Intel Clover Trail processor with 2GB of RAM. Considering that similar devices were expected to be priced at around $700, this is really great news.
Windows 8 tablets will give you access to all your old Windows programs along with the brand new Metro based apps which will be available for both Windows 8 and Windows RT. The Iconia W510 will give you access to your content when you are on the move in its portable 0.35 inch thin frame which is still quite capable with 9 hours of battery life.
You can extend that battery life by an additional 9 hours, with the optional keyboard dock. Users who need more storage can opt for the 64GB variant of the Iconia W510 with the dock at a very reasonable $749.
