The first full size Android tablets were introduced running Android 3.0 Honeycomb which was later succeeded by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. One device which got caught up in this redundancy was the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 (P7310) which was the Korean manufacturer’s flagship Android tablet when it was first released. It has since been succeeded by newest devices and Samsung unfortunately decided not to upgrade the device past Honeycomb.

Luckily the developer community didn't feel the same way and have decided to bring Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to the Galaxy Tab 8.9 through an unofficial CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM.
