The Sony Xperia T, Xperia TX and the Xperia V were updated to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean way back in February, and owners had some hope that their handsets would get one more update to the realm of Android 4.4 KitKat. Especially since Sony reportedly was "investigating" the possibility of bringing the newer version of Android to the handset. Unfortunately it looks like the trio will not be updated past Jelly Bean.

Sony Xperia T receives the Android 4.1.2 software update
Sony is now rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update for the Sony Xperia T in select countries. The update comes just weeks after Sony released the alpha build of Jelly Bean for developers to test.
The Xperia T features a 4.5 inch display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a dual core processor.

Sony Xperia T receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update
Sony has followed the example set by HTC and Motorola and given their Sony Xperia T users an early Christmas present in the form of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The update comes a couple of months earlier than it was previously scheduled and brings the smooth performance of project butter along with Google Now which will help you keep track of your weather, traffic conditions, sports updates along with other special updates. It will also bring the other security enhancements you will expect from Jelly Bean. The update is also reported to bring improved battery life.

Sony Xperia T receives Android 4.0.4 software update
The Sony Xperia T is now receiving the Android 4.0.4 software update which brings the latest version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich along with other new features and improvements. The update is said to be rolling out to device starting in Europe and Asia and is also being sent out to the Sony Xperia TX. One of the new features included in the update is Miracast Screen Mirroring which allows you to view your Sony Xperia T interface on a compatible television using Wi-Fi.

Sony to release Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for 2012 Xperias by Q2 2013
Sony has confirmed that they will be releasing the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for their 2012 Xperia lineup by the first half of 2013. The Sony Xperia T, Sony Xperia TX and the Sony Xperia V will reportedly receive the Jelly Bean update as early as the first quarter.
This will be followed by updates to the Sony Xperia S, Sony Xperia Acro S, Sony Xperia Ion, Sony Xperia P, Sony Xperia Go and Sony Xperia J. However Sony has still to reveal a time frame for these devices to get Android 4.1.
