Sony Xperia T receives the Android 4.1.2 software update
Sony is now rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update for the Sony Xperia T in select countries. The update comes just weeks after Sony released the alpha build of Jelly Bean for developers to test.
The Xperia T features a 4.5 inch display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a dual core processor.
The update brings the 91.A.0.489 software version and improvements in the camera application, lock-screen and dialer. The update will also bring the Google Now digital assistant which keeps you updated on the latest news and the buttery smoothness and performance improvements from Project Butter.
The update is reported to be available through the through Sony’s PC Companion app, but keep in mind that it has still not rolled out to all regions.
For example while countries like Germany, Netherlands, Saudi Arabi and others already have access to the update, it has still to arrive for users in the UK.
