Sony has followed the example set by HTC and Motorola and given their Sony Xperia T users an early Christmas present in the form of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The update comes a couple of months earlier than it was previously scheduled and brings the smooth performance of project butter along with Google Now which will help you keep track of your weather, traffic conditions, sports updates along with other special updates. It will also bring the other security enhancements you will expect from Jelly Bean. The update is also reported to bring improved battery life.You will receive a notification when the update is available for your device and you can even manually check for the update by heading over to Settings > About phone > System Updates and check for updates. Make sure you are connected to your Wi-Fi if you want to avoid unnecessary data charges.
