Nokia Store will be replaced with Opera Mobile Store on certain Nokia devices

Since Microsoft purchased Nokia's Devices and Services division earlier this year, they have been removing Nokia's branding, from all the product lines that they now own. As part of this transition, Microsoft has come to an agreement with Opera, to replace the Nokia Store on some of its Nokia devices with the Opera Mobile Store.

Opera Mini beta now available for Windows Phone

Opera for Windows PhoneBack in August 2013, Opera hinted that they were working on Opera Mini for Windows Phone. At the time, the company said it would announce when it had the browser ready. We are happy to tell you that the beta version of Opera Mini is now available to users willing to test the browser.

Opera mini 8 released for Java-running phones and BlackBerry OS

OperaOpera mini, the version of the browser for older that run Java-based platforms, including the classic BlackBerry OS has been updated to version 8. There's a new look and a new set of features is available.

The updated version has a new Speed Dial start page with redesigned tiles, as well as the addition of Night mode, improved data savings reports, and Private mode.

Opera 20 is now available for download

Opera Software has released the final version 20 of their web browser for the Windows and Mac platforms. It’s the sixth major update since the browser was rebooted with the Chromium browser engine, and follows previous releases in offering evolutionary changes rather than revolutionary ones.

Opera 19 is now available for download

Opera Software has released the final version 19 of their web browser for the Windows and Mac platforms. It’s the fifth major update since the browser was rebooted with the Chromium browser engine, and brings a few new features and improvements.

Opera Mini for Windows Phone maybe close to release

Opera for Windows PhoneThe Opera web browser was once a popular choice for Microsoft's mobile platform users back in the days of Windows Mobile. But since Microsoft introduced the Windows Phone platform, users have been limited to Internet Explorer as their primary web browser. However, it looks like Opera could be working on a version of  Opera Mini for Windows Phone.

Opera 15 released for Windows and Mac based on Chromium

The Chromium based version of the Opera web browser has been in beta for some time as Opera Next. Now Opera 15 is available for download for Windows and Mac, featuring an all new-design and several new features and improvements. Features include a new Discover catch-up menu, Speed Dial which allows you to quickly find all of your favorite websites

Opera Next Chromium based browser available for Windows and Mac

Opera has released a preview build of their next generation web browser for Windows and Mac computers. The new version is built on Chromium, just like the Opera for Android which recently graduated from beta. A feature you may miss is Opera Mail, which has been split away from the new browser. Opera has also included a couple of new features, including bringing the 'Discover' recommendation system to the desktop.

Opera purchases Skyfire for $155 million in an attempt to improve their mobile browser

Opera has been having an eventful week. After announcing they would be transitioning to using Webkit on their browsers over Presta and that they had crossed 300 million monthly active users, they have announced that they are purchasing Skyfire Labs, the maker for the Skyfire browser. The acquisition is said to have cost $155 million and is likely in an attempt to improve Opera’s mobile browser experience.

Opera for Windows PhoneOpera Mobile and Opera Mini have been popular choices for users back in the early days of smartphones. This is before the days of Safari on the iPhone, when pocket IE was barely usable.
