The Motorola Droid will always be known for starting the Android revolution. With its unlocked boot-loader, it has always been popular among power users and developers who have now ported Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, breathing new life into it.
It has been a long time since the device received its last update which was Android 2.3 FroYo back in Summer 2010. The device which was originally launched with Android 2.1 was upgraded to Android 2.2, but was shelved in favor of newer devices by Verizon not long after its Gingerbread update.
