The raw DNG files can be quite large and contain a lot of information about your photos, like like exposure settings, which you can later tweak with professional software. According to the Nokia Conversations blog, Nokian photography hobbyists and professionals alike have collaboratively come out with several DNG color profiles that will help you get the best results under several distinct scenarios. There's a flash, fluorescent and daylight-halogen profiles, with each best applied according to the appropriate scenario. In other words, you're advised to use the flash profile for pictures where you know you've used flash, and so on and so forth. The provided sample speaks for itself.
The profiles are to be used within Adobe's Lightroom suite. More profiles could come, but Juha Alakarhu, head of imaging technologies at Nokia, refused to give out any promises:
"This started purely as a hobbyist initiative at Nokia and as a result we have now released the flash, fluorescent and daylight-halogen profiles for Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1020.
Let’s see what our in-house photography enthusiasts come up with this year… but I won’t make any promises though."If you're interested, you can download the color profiles for your Lumia 1020 or Lumia 1520 from the links below:
If you're not sure what to do with these, then go right here and read up on Adobe's official guide.
