With Lumia Black your device will receive several new features and improvements to both handsets including improvements in imaging, app updates and support for new Nokia apps, like: Storyteller and Nokia Camera. However because of its limited hardware support, the Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 does not include support for some of the new features and any app which require 1 GB of RAM, like: Nokia Beamer and Nokia Refocus.

Your Lumia will also receiving several enhancements from Microsoft through Windows Phone Update 3 (GDR3) which include Safe Driving Mode, Custom Ringtones, New Multitasking and Screen Rotation Lock.

The update will be pushed to your device OTA (over-the-air) and you will receive a notification when it is available for your device. You can also manually check for the update by heading to Settings > Phone Update > Check for Updates.
Such updates are generally rolled out in phases, and may have to undergo carrier testing before it is available for your device. Country variants and some operator variants of the Lumia 720 in France, Germany, Switzerland, Bangladesh, Nepal and South Africa are reportedly receiving the update. Meanwhile Lumia 520 users in many Asian and European countries are also reportedly receiving the update.
