The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software update is now rolling out to HTC One customers on the T-Mobile network. Jason Mackenzie, president of HTC America admitted on Friday via a Tweet that the update will be pushed back to today.
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean brings lockscreen widgets, settings toggles in the navigation shade, and improved focus capabilities for the camera.
Along with the general enhancements expected with Android 4.3, the update will also bring new features to HTC's Sense 5. This includes new video highlight themes, support in BlinkFeed for Instagram and more user control for the "home" and "menu" buttons.
The update will be pushed OTA (over-the-air) and you should receive a notification when it is available for download on your device. Make sure that your battery is fully charged and that you are connected to Wi-Fi before downloading the update. If you do not receive the update notification within the next few days, you can manually check for the update under Settings
This leaves the HTC One for Verizon as the last of the four major carriers to offer Android 4.3 for their devices. Since Verizon was also the last to launch the device, it came with Android 4.2.2 and new Sense features when it arrived. The Verizon update is due to hit the carrier's HTC One units around the end of this month.
