HTC One S receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update with HTC Sense 4+
The international HTC One S are getting an early Christmas in the form of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update. This means you can enjoy the smooth performance of project butter along with Google Now which will help you keep track of your weather, traffic conditions, sports updates along with other special updates. It will also bring the other security enhancements you will expect from Jelly Bean.
The update also brings the updated HTC Sense 4+ UI, better camera performance, a new landing page and events/map view in the gallery. You will also have improved battery life and better power management.
You will receive a notification when the update is available for your device and you can even manually check for the update by heading over to Settings > About phone > System Updates and check for updates.
The update which offers Android 4.1.1 and software version 3.16.401.8 is around 612 MB in size, so make sure you are connected to your Wi-Fi before you start updating your device to avoid data charges.
