Apple iPhone 5 unlocked prices revealed ?

Apple has still not officially announced the prices of the unlocked Apple iPhone 5 which is expected to be available in stores later this year. However a quick query on the Apple.com website has reveals that the possible prices of the unlocked iPhone 5 will start at $639, which matches the pricing of the models that are sold in Canada.

The iPhone 5 features a 4-inch Retina touch display, up to 64GB of internal storage, an updated 8 megapixel camera which is capable of 1080p video capture, a secondary 720p camera for FaceTime video calls and is powered by an Apple A6 processor. The unlocked version can be used on any GSM in the United States or around the world.

The search shows that the 16GB will be priced at $649, 32GB at $749 and the 64GB will cost $849. These are the same prices which the company previously priced the Apple iPhone 4s and the Apple iPhone 4 and we aren't certain if the are just using old prices as reference points.

Apple is expected to make the unlocked iPhone 5 available once the global roll-out of the device is over and the supply-demand equation is in balance.

While Apple doesn't currently sell the unlocked GSM version of the iPhone 5 in the U.S., the CDMA model sold by Verizon has been discovered to work on GSM networks of AT&T and T-Mobile. Users can also unlock the AT&T model and used on T-Mobile with an iTunes reset and a new nano-SIM card.
