Skype for Windows Phone beta is now available in the Windows Phone Marketplace and available for download. It features video calling and instant messaging similar to the desktop client and comes with the Metro UI design we have all grown familiar with on Windows Phone.

Skype for Windows Phone allows you to take voice/video calls over Wi-Fi and even using 3G or 4G. While you are on a Skype call you can swipe to the left and use messaging simultaneously.
At this beta stage the app still fails to integrate tightly with your apps like it's Android and iOS counterparts, but we can be confident that the Windows Phone version of Skype will soon catch up.
