The Apple Worldwide Developer Conference has been announced to take place from the 7th - 11th of June 2010.

[UPDATE] This five day event is focused at providing advanced content for skilled developers. The event also helps build a community of iPhone, iPad and Mac users. The Apple developers will have multiple sessions and labs for the attendees.

[UPDATE] The WWDC 2010 kicked off on the 7th of June with the keynote address made by Steve Jobs. In his address the Apple CEO presented figures on iPad sales and introduced the all new Apple iPhone 4 and the iPhone OS 4 (renamed iOS 4). Apple also introduced iADs which is an advertising platform designed to help developers release cheaper apps to the public.

Safari 5 and iTunes 9.2 were also introduced, with the later only being made available to (developer) attendees of the conference.

The conference is continuing during the course of the week and has a score of demonstrations and lab sessions aimed at Apple developers.
