Apple iOS 7 demonstrated on iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5

Apple has released the third beta of iOS 7 which will make it way to our iOS devices later this fall. The software update will be available for the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini and iPod Touch 5. However not all devices will receive all the new features of iOS 7 with the iPhone 4 and iPad 2 receiving the least while the iPhone 5 and the newest iPad will receive the full set of features.

Which iOS 7.0 features will my device receive

Yesterday Apple announced iOS 7.0 at the WWDC 2013 keynote, with a new user interface and several new features and improvements. The first beta of iOS 7.0 is already out to developers but the final version is not expected to be released to the public until later this fall.

Apple iOS 7.0 will be available for the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini and iPod Touch 5. However not all of the new features will be available across these handsets.

Apple iPhone 4S users report battery drain issues after installing iOS 6.1.1

Some time ago several European carriers including Vodafone told their subscribers not to upgrade to iOS 6.1 due to connectivity issues experience with the new iOS version. Users who installed the update found that they couldn’t connect to the Internet, make or receive phone calls, or send and receive text messages. Apple attempted to rectify these issues with the release of iOS 6.1.1, but it looks like the solution came with its own set of problems.

Apple iPhone 4S receives iOS 6.1.1 software update

Apple released iOS 6.1 to the public just a couple of weeks ago for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Now they are following up with a release of iOS 6.1.1, but it is now available to download ONLY for the Apple iPhone 4S.

Its very rarely that we see an iOS update being released so quickly following a release, especially since iOS 6.1 spent months of testing before being released to the public. However it turned out that that issues with the iPhone 4S had slipped by unnoticed and started cropping up once the devices, particularly connectivity issues, sending email, texts and entering a network.

Vodafone warns Apple iPhone 4S users not to update to iOS 6.1

Vodafone is warning their Apple iPhone 4S customers not to update their handsets to iOS 6.1 at this time. An issue has been identified with the the latest OS build which prevents some owners from connection the internet, sending and receiving texts and preventing users from making and receiving phone calls.

Apple released iOS 6.1 last week with a new featuring including the ability to use Siri to purchase movie tickets, a new placement of music volume controls on your lock screen and some bug fixes.
