The Samsung Galaxy S III for AT&T (SGH-i747) is now receiving a software update which is around 69MB in size, and bring the KOT49H.I747UCUFNJ1 software version. AT&T has been very vague on the changelog, simply stating that the update brings "Android OS Enhancements"

The update is being released OTA, and you should make sure that you have at least 50% of your battery charged and be on a Wi-Fi network when you download and install it.

Samsung Galaxy S III (I9305) LTE receives Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software update

[S_GSIII%2520%25281%2529%255B2%255D.jpg]The  software update is rolling out over-the-air (OTA) for the Samsung Galaxy S III 4G LTE version (I9305). This means that existing S III units will leapfrog , and will come with a comprehensive set of new features and improvements.

The update rollout will take place in stages. However you can try to force an update check manually, by going into Settings > More > About Device > Software update > Update. Moreover, if you're locked to a carrier, it will take even longer as your service providers needs to do some work as well.

Samsung Galaxy S III receives leaked Android 4.3 update

The International Samsung Galaxy S III, GT-I9300 is receiving its first leaked build of . The build carries the I9300XXUGMJ9 software version and is said to be stable although there could be a few bugs inside it.

Before attempting to install this update, users are advised to perform a full backup of their devices, as this firmware will wipe your device. While it is not an official release from Samsung, installing it will not void your warranty. Samsung Galaxy S4 to get Android 4.3 in October, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 in November

Recently we have been seeing many rumors on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung Galaxy Note II. Now French carrier SFR has released a roadmap with information on when their devices will be receiving their next updates. According to SFR, the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 should be getting Android 4.3 Jelly Bean sometime in November-December, while the almighty Galaxy S4 is set to receive it in October.

This in no way confirms that the U.S. variants of these devices will get the updates at the same time, but at least is indicates a time frame for Samsung to start rolling out the updates.

Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon receives connectivity bug fixing OTA update

The Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon is now receiving a new OTA update (VRBMF1) which is said to fix problems caused by an update which was released last month. The update in question was 129.1MB in size and brought several features like multi-window multi-tasking, Paper Artist and Best Shot. Unfortunately the update caused the device to receive only 2 bars where it would generally receive 4 bars of Verizon LTE connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon receives update which brings mult-window mode

The Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon is receiving a new software update which is 129.1MB in size and brings several new features and improvements to the handset. The update which is being offered OTA (over-the-air) can take up to 8 minutes to download and an additional 8 minutes to install. You may want to connect to your Wi-Fi to avoid data charges.

The Galaxy S III for Verizon features a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display, 8 megapixel intelligent camera in the rear which is capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary front facing camera which is capable of 720p HD video capture, up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, NFC connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy S III for T-Mobile receives Android 4.1.2 software update

You will receive a notification when the update is available for the device at which point you can initiate it. The update is 187MB in size, so users are recommended to downloaded it over Wi-Fi to preserve their data allowance. If you haven't received the notification, you can check for the update availability under Settings.

Samsung’s focus maybe on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S IV but it looks like this may not be the end of their previous flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S III.
