iOS hacker iH8sn0w has discovered a way to untether jailbreak the iPhone 4s, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad mini and iPod Touch 5 which are powered by the Apple A5(X) processor for life. Details are relatively scarce at this moment regarding the exploit, although if it were ever released in the form of a jailbreak utility, those in ownership of either device would be able to enjoy an potentially indefinite, untethered jailbreak.

Which iOS 7.0 features will my device receive

Yesterday Apple announced iOS 7.0 at the WWDC 2013 keynote, with a new user interface and several new features and improvements. The first beta of iOS 7.0 is already out to developers but the final version is not expected to be released to the public until later this fall.

Apple iOS 7.0 will be available for the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini and iPod Touch 5. However not all of the new features will be available across these handsets.

Apple releases iOS 6.0.2 exclusively for the iPhone 5 and iPad mini

Apple has released an updated to iOS 6.0 which is exclusive to the Apple iPhone 5 and the Apple iPad mini. The iOS 6.0.2 update specifically targets a Wi-Fi bug and also promises to brings performance improvements and other bug fixes. It’s generally very rare to see Apple release an update targeted at just one or two iOS device.

If you own either an iPhone 5 or an iPad mini, you can download the update by heading over to Settings > General > Software Update where you can update your device OTA. You can also connect your device to iTunes in order to download the update.

Apple iPad mini with LTE now available on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon in the U.S.

The Apple iPad mini with 4G LTE connectivity is now available for purchase in the U.S. through AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. Sprint was the first to have the tablet up for offer earlier today and was quickly followed by AT&T and Verizon. If you are planning to get your iPad mini on Verizon, you can only order the device online, and stocks are reportedly limited so hurry. AT&T has the tablet available both online and through their retail stores.

The iPad mini features features a 7.9 inch touch display, up to 64GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls, optional 3G/4G connectivity and is powered by an Apple A5 dual-core processor. This was followed by the Google Nexus 7 which proved that the 7 inch tablet category could be both powerful and affordable. The Apple iPad mini features a 7.9 inch touch display, up to 64GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls, optional 3G/4G connectivity and is powered by an Apple A5 dual-core processor.

The device has a slightly overpriced base price of $330 which cant be justified based on its hardware, but Apple fans will learn to look past that in favor of its amazing build quality and superior battery life.

Apple iPad mini sells out all available models in stock


Apple is generally successful with their product announcements, but when their unveiled the Apple iPad mini, we were skeptical of the device being successful. This doubt stemmed from the device specifications and price, which we didn’t feel was a fair bargain for the end user. Especially when the Google Nexus 7 and the Amazon Kindle Fire HD offered so much better hardware at a much lesser price.

However it looks like the iPad mini has proven us wrong and risen to be yet another successful entry in Apple’s device lineup, as all of the initial stock available for pre-order has been sold out.

Black iPad mini also in short supply? shipments delayed

It seams like the Apple iPad mini continues to be a success. Yesterday we reported that the initial stock of the 16GB white variant were sold out as Apple placed a two week delay on the model. At the time the black model seamed un-affected, but it turns out that the 16GB of the black variant has also been set a two-week shipment delay.

We didn't quite expect the Apple iPad mini to be so successful, but it turns out it is. Pre-orders on the device kicked off today, and it seams the white variant is already in short supply. Apple has pushed back the shipping dates on the white model due to their inability to meet the high demands.
