[Guide] How to unlock your iPhone

Numerous reports have confirmed a bug in iOS 5 which allows you to unlock the iPhone 4S without jailbreaking and using UltraSn0w or GEVEY SIM. While it has been confirmed that it works on T-Mobile it should potentially work on any GSM carrier.

The method has been reported to work on the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS as well.

Siri ported to Apple iPhone 3GS

Siri has been making her rounds through non Apple iPhone 4S devices as of late, after being ported to the Apple iPhone 4 it has now also been ported to the Apple iPhone 3GS. Apple has made us believe that Siri requires the advanced hardware of the iPhone 4S in order to work, but the demonstration video shows it working quite well on the iPhone 3GS.

AT&T sees new demand for Apple iPhone 3GS

The Apple iPhone 3GS was originally launched in June 2009, but is seeing a renewed demand at AT&T with it's free price-tag. AT&T Chairman Ralph de la Vega says "we're getting more new subscribers coming on to the 3GS on the average than other devices. So we have an inventory sold out on that device."  and that the 3GS is responsible for most of the new subscribers that have signed up with the carrier recently.

What will iOS 5 offer the iPhone 3GS

I am sure anyone who owns an Apple iPhone 3GS must be wondering what Apple will be offering for that device considering it is still on Apple's list of smartphones which will be sold alongside the new Apple iPhone 4S.

Apple has not released the information on the iOS 5 feature page about the limitations on legacy hardware, but the technical community who already has access to beta versions of iOS have begun to discover which features will and wont make it to the iPhone 3GS.

[Guide] How to Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.2.1

Following the Jailbreak for iOS 4.2 the Dev Team has released an update to UltraSn0w allowing users who rely on a carrier unlock to use their devices with devices with iOS 4.2.1.

The Apple iPhone 3G and the Apple iPhone 3GS on basebands later than 05.13.04 can take advantage of this unlock.

If you are using an Apple iPhone 4 you will have to wait longer for an unlock as the baseband OS on the newer device requires more work from from the Dev-Team. Stay tuned for an update.

[Guide] How to enable Facetime on your iPhone 3GS

The Apple iPhone 4 and the latest iPod Touch have a unique feature called Facetime, which allows you to use the front camera on the device to make and receive video calls between supported devices.

[Guide] How to enable HD video on your iPhone 3GS

The Apple iPhone 3GS is apparently capable of capturing HD video. This guide is for iPhone 3GS devices running iOS 4.x firmware. Mike the person responsible for this has made it possible to capture video at 1080x800 @30fps instead of the default which is 640x480.
