The Nokia Lumia 920 recently received the PR1.1 software update which was meant enhancements to its imaging capabilities along with other improvements. Now armed with its improved software it get set for its second round against Nokia’s top camera-phone the Nokia 808 PureView

The photos demonstrate various lighting situations and the 808 PureView is capturing photos in 8 megapixels to match the 8.7 megapixel sensor on the Lumia 920.

Nokia Lumia 820 receives PR1.1 Windows Phone update (1232.5951.1249.0001)

Nokia has released the PR1.1 software update to the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia Lumia 820 for users in the US and Canada. The update (1232.5951.1249.0001) brings improved performance, imaging capabilities and battery management to the devices. We have been hearing about this update for some time now under its code-name Portico, but it is also labeled as PR 1.1 which is a familiar form of updating Nokia Lumia handsets.

The update will be made available to your device OTA (over-the-air) and you don’t have to connect it to your computer to get the update. You can check for the update by heading over to Settings > Phone Update > Check For Updates and make sure you have your Wi-Fi connection enabled in order to initiate the update.

We recently reported that the Nokia Lumia 920 will be receiving a new software update (1232.5951.1249.0001) alongside the Nokia Lumia 820 and it looks like that update has started to roll out for the Lumia 920 in the U.S. and Canada. Nokia N9 receives (PR 1.1) software update

We reported some time ago that the Nokia N9 was going to receive a firmware update, and it looks like the day has come. N9 users have been receiving notifications of the update is now available for their devices.

The new PR1.1 update (20.2011.40.4) offers performance improvements along with new features for the device. Nokia claims that there are 308 enhancements added, so users should be getting quite a dramatic new experience on their devices.

Nokia N950 receives (PR 1.1) software update

The developer only Nokia N950 has received a firmware update taking it to PR 1.1. The N950 runs Meego which will be updated to 2.2011.39-5 and the file size of the update will be 278.6 MB

The update is available OTA and you can check for it by heading to Settings > Applications > Update

Nokia C6-01 receives PR 1.1 (13.0.16) software update

The Nokia C6-01 has received a software update taking the firmware to version PR 1.1 (013.016). This update brings quality and stability updates to the Nokia C6-01 along with overall enhanced user experience.

You can obtain this update using your device's OTA (Over The Air) feature of by connecting your device to Nokia Ovi Suite and downloading the update using the software updater feature.

Nokia N8 receives PR 1.1 (013.016) software update

The Nokia N8 has received a soft update taking the firmware to version PR 1.1 (013.016). The N8 features a 3.5 inch touch display, 16GB of storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon Flash which is capable of 720p HD video capture and is powered by a 680 MHz processor with 256 MB of RAM.

This update brings quality and stability updates to the Nokia N8 along with overall enhanced user experience. The update also has numerous tweaks and bug fixes.

Nokia C7 receives PR 1.1 (013.016) software update

The Nokia C7 has received a firmware update in the form of PR 1.1. This takes the version of the software on the C7 to 13.0.16. You can get access to this update using the Nokia C7's Over The Air software update feature or by connection your device to Nokia's Ovi Suite software.

The Nokia N900 has received the PR1.1.1 software update, which brings the device software to version 3.2010.02-8. Users can download the update to their devices (OTA) over-the-air, but the update is being released in stages, so it maybe awhile before it arrives on your device.
