Nokia N8 receives PR 1.1 (013.016) software update

The Nokia N8 has received a soft update taking the firmware to version PR 1.1 (013.016). The N8 features a 3.5 inch touch display, 16GB of storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon Flash which is capable of 720p HD video capture and is powered by a 680 MHz processor with 256 MB of RAM.

This update brings quality and stability updates to the Nokia N8 along with overall enhanced user experience. The update also has numerous tweaks and bug fixes.




The change-log of this update follows:

• Meeting requests can be accepted directly from email invitations;
• Maps integration in email, which means people can view the meeting location on the map when the address is mentioned in the location field in the invite.
• New Quick Office 6.4 editor version, which offers editing possibilities and allows zooming in & out in Word documents.
• Three high quality games will also be preloaded on new devices – Need for Speed Shift, Real Golf and Galaxy on Fire. (In some countries, Need for Speed is replaced with Asphalt 5). For current N8 users, these are available for free from Ovi Suite & Ovi Store.

You can obtain this update using your device's OTA (Over The Air) feature of by connecting your device to Nokia Ovi Suite and downloading the update using the software updater feature.
