Nokia challenges DSLRs in their latest Lumia 1020 video

Nokia Lumia 1020Nokia has posted a new promotional video, which makes you question why you would lug around a DSLR with the accompanying lenses, tripods and batteries when you could have a Nokia Lumia 1020 instead.

The video deals with most issues faced by DSLR owners, like the lens sizes, the difficulties in capturing the perfect shot, and the need to burden strangers with your complicated contraption when you want yourself in the picture

Features like point and shoot making capturing the perfect image easier, while the advanced photographer can make use of the manual settings on Nokia Camera to capture a digital masterpiece. With OIS, you might not need to rely on a tripod for a stable, jitter free photo or video. Lastly digital zoom on the 41MP sensor brings you close to the action without sacrificing quality.

The Lumia 1020 was originally priced at $299.99 at AT&T when first launched and was recently discounted to $49.99 through the carrier. The handset has since been replaced by the Nokia Lumia 1520 which comes with a larger higher resolution display, expandable storage and faster processor. But its less impressive camera ensures that the Lumia 1020 is still a very relevant device.

Would you consider ditching your expensive DSLR for a Lumia 1020 on your next trip ?
