The Motorola Droid 3 has received a firmware update (5.7.905.XT862) which is 230MB in size and comes with several improvements and enhancements.
While the Droid 3 has a powerful dual-core processor and QWERTY keyboard, it unfortunately wont get a chance to see savor Ice Cream Sandwich. However this software update is very relevant as you will see in the following change-log.

Amazon offers Black Friday penny deals on Android handsets
It's Black Friday today and as you can imagine shopping is on everyone's mind. The day brings good profits to retailers while shoppers get great discounts which they wont get any other time of the year.
Amazon looks to be one of the retailers who are offering great Black Friday deals, one deal that especially caught our eyes was their entire Android portfolio up for just one cent.
Getting a device for just a penny is a great deal, but when you see the available portfolio you will definitely be impressed.

Motorola Droid 3 receives Android 2.3.4 software update
The Motorola Droid 3 has received a firmware update which brings bug fixes and performance improvements to the device along with Google Talk video chat. The update takes the phone to build 5.6.890. This updated the Android version on the device to 2.3.4 which is the version with the Google Talk with video option. It looks like Motorola is getting some extra care from Google now, as most devices still have only 2.3.3 available and users are still waiting for the newer Android update.
