Apple is rolling out the third Golden Master (GM) Candidate of OS X 10.10 Yosemite, which is expected to launch later this month, following Apple upcoming media event. At this stage, Apple isn't adding any major features or changes to Yosemite, rather refining the software and making it ready for the end user.
The first GM was released at the end of last month, and while that would have generally signified the end of development on Yosemite, Apple chose to release a second GM just recently with with some refinements. Given the release of a third GM, Apple may not be quite satisfied with the final version of Yosemite just yet. While its unlikely that Apple will release another GM before the public release of Yosemite, there is no evidence suggesting that we wont see another GM or two before Yosemite is made available through the Mac App Store.
Developers who want to take a last look at the Yosemite GM can download the update through the Mac App Store or the Mac Developer Portal. The access to pre-release software is available for a n annual registration fee of $99 or by joining the free Mac Beta seed program.
